People often ask where we are, and we just tell them to look for the New Anaaj Mandi. We sit right across from it in Sarpanch Colony at Plot No. 16. It is a busy area, especially when the trucks come in for the market. Some of us grew up right here in this neighborhood, so we know the people around these parts pretty well. The building isn't anything fancy, just a regular spot where we get together to see what needs doing. Some days it is quiet, and other days it feels like everyone is dropping by at once. We started this foundation because we saw a lot of folks struggling with basic things. It didn't seem right to just sit back and watch. My cousin helped get the paperwork sorted last year. It was a bit of a headache with all the forms. Now we just try to keep things moving. The weather gets really hot here in the summer, and the dust from the mandi blows over sometimes. We usually have the fan going and some water for anyone who walks in. It isn't a big operation with desks and fancy chairs. We mostly use what we have. Sometimes we run out of tea when there are too many visitors. That is just how it goes here. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just hoping to help out the families nearby.
