The place is out in Gidani Village, not too far from National Highway 8. Being near the highway means we get a lot of trucks passing by all day and night. Sanjay Rocks Granites is where we spend our time dealing with big pieces of stone. It’s a dusty job, mostly because of the cutting and moving things around. Dudu Tehsil is a quiet enough area until you get closer to the main road. We see a lot of raw granite coming in from the quarries. We spend the morning checking the inventory and making sure the machines are running okay. There isn’t much to do out here besides the work, so we focus on getting the slabs ready. Sometimes the weather gets really dry, and the dust sticks to everything in the yard. We aren't a big corporate office with suits; we are just guys in boots working with rock. If you drive down Highway 8, you’ll probably see the stacks of granite. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. Usually, we are just busy loading trailers or marking slabs for the next order. It’s hard work on the back, but it is what we do. The village life is slow, but the business on the highway stays fast. We just keep our heads down and handle the stone. It's a living, and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk every day.
