Samidha Microcredit Foundation

We are based at 86, Krishna Vihar, which is right off the Gopalpura Bypass in Jaipur. It’s a pretty busy part of the city, and if you’ve ever driven down the bypass, you know how much traffic there can be at almost any hour. Our office is a simple space in a residential building. We chose this spot because it's central enough for people to reach us from different parts of Jaipur without too much trouble. Inside, Samidha Microcredit Foundation is just a few desks and some filing cabinets. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning running all day or a fancy reception desk. We usually have the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through. Being in Krishna Vihar means we have a lot of neighbors, and we try to keep things quiet so we don’t disturb anyone. Our daily routine involves a lot of math and talking to people about their small businesses. We don't use big words or try to sound more important than we are. We're just a small team trying to manage the microcredit side of things for folks who need it. Sometimes we eat lunch together at our desks and talk about how the city is changing so fast. Jaipur 302018 is our home, and we like being right here in the middle of the bustle of the bypass. It's a lot of work but it keeps us on our toes.
