S M S Hospital

Our hospital is located right on Tonk Road. You can't really miss the 3G board outside, it has been there for quite some time now. Tonk Road is always moving, so there is a lot of noise and activity just outside our doors. Inside, things are a bit different. We have the usual hospital smells and the sound of nurses moving quickly down the halls. It’s a general setup, so we see all sorts of people. One minute it’s someone with a high fever and the next it’s an older person coming in for their regular checkup. The waiting area has some old magazines and the chairs are grouped together where families sit and wait for news. We have different departments spread out, and sometimes it feels like a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we talk about local things during our breaks in the small kitchen area. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the equipment needed to take care of people who walk through the door. The floors get mopped a few times a day because of all the dust that comes in from the main road. We keep the lights on late, and there is always someone at the front desk to help out with forms. It’s a busy life here, but it’s what we do every day without much fuss or any fancy talk.
