S. M. Chemicals

We are located in Dholi Mandi, right there in Chomu. Our spot is quite close to the Chomu House Circle, which is a landmark most locals know. Being near the mandi means there is always a lot of movement—farmers, traders, and trucks are a constant sight. S. M. Chemicals has been part of this landscape for a while. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional place where we keep our supplies and do our paperwork. It can get pretty noisy during peak hours in the mandi, but we’ve learned to work through it. We handle a variety of chemicals and the space is always organized to keep things moving quickly. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. It's just a few of us making sure the customers get what they need when they stop by. The dust from the road is a bit of a constant, but we keep the inside as clean as we can. It’s a very practical environment. We start our day when the sun comes up and usually finish when things quiet down in the evening. There’s no mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and some notes about deliveries. It’s a simple way of doing business, and it works for the people around Chomu. We’re just another shop in the circle doing our bit. We usually close up when the main market activity slows down for the day, heading home through the same dusty streets.
