S. H. B. Ayurved College

We are located out in Kishangarh Renwal, which is a bit of a drive from the main Jaipur city area. You can find us if you head toward that side, though it's not right on the main highway. The college has been sitting here for a good while, and we’ve seen plenty of students come through the doors over the years. It’s usually pretty quiet here except when the students are moving between classes. Dealing with Ayurvedic medicine means there is a lot to learn about plants and old ways of doing things. It isn't always easy for the students because the texts are quite old and thick. In the summer, it gets really hot in Rajasthan, so we try to get most of the heavy study work done in the cooler morning hours. We have our classrooms and the labs set up to handle the day-to-day teaching. Most of the staff live nearby or commute from the surrounding villages. It’s a practical place, really. We don't have fancy decorations, just the stuff needed to teach students how to work with traditional medicine. You’ll often see people sitting around the courtyard talking about their notes. It’s just a normal college where people come to get their degrees and move on to their careers.
