Roopa Marbles & Granites

If you ever drive through the 200 Ft. Bypass Crossing near Ajmer Road, you have probably seen our yard. Roopa Marbles & Granites is situated right near Heerapura School. In the mornings, we can hear the sound of the kids playing or the school bell ringing while we are busy loading up the delivery trucks. The bypass is always full of noise from the big rigs that are heading out of the city. We have piles of marble and granite sitting everywhere. It feels like a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around. We don't have a fancy showroom with any air conditioning or soft chairs. It is mostly just the open yard and a small room where we keep the desk. The floor is usually covered in small stone scraps and a lot of dust. We don't mind the mess because it is just part of the trade we are in. Sometimes the parents from the school will stop by to ask a few questions while they are waiting for their children to finish classes. We have been at this specific spot near the crossing for a very long time now. We know all the other local shopkeepers and the man who sells tea on the corner. The work is very physical and it can be tiring, but it is what we know. We just sell stone.
