Reeva Textiles is based in the Radio Market area of Nehru Bazar. We are at shop number 117. Nehru Bazar is one of those places that is always full of energy and people looking for good deals on everything. We sell different kinds of fabrics and cloth materials for all sorts of uses. Our shop is often crowded with stacks of textiles reaching almost to the ceiling. It’s not a big fancy boutique with models or displays. It’s just a traditional market shop where the product is the main thing. We’ve been at 117 for a long time now, so we know the rhythm of the market. My family has been in the textile trade for years, so it’s just what we know how to do. We get all sorts of customers, from people making clothes at home to small garment makers looking for bulk orders. The Radio Market can be a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with the turns and alleys. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that keep the air moving on hot days. It gets a bit dusty with all the fabric fibers floating around, but we try to sweep it out every day. We don't do much advertising or fancy stuff. People find us by walking through the bazaar or because someone told them about us. It’s a simple business at its heart. We buy fabric from the mills, we sell it here, and we try to make a little profit to keep going. Some days are slow.
