Our office is at G 10 inside Bajaj Sadan, which is right on Janpath. It’s off the New Sanganer Road in Jaipur. If you know the area, you know it gets quite busy with all the traffic and people moving around. Being on the ground floor means we hear everything from the street, but it makes it easy to step out for a quick break. Abacus Consultants is just a small place with white walls and a few tube lights. We have some posters on the wall that have been there for years. The floor is tiled and easy to sweep. We spend a lot of time sitting at the computers. There is a tea stall nearby that makes the best ginger tea, and we usually get a few rounds brought in throughout the day. The parking around Janpath can be a bit of a headache, so most of us try to get here early to find a spot. Jaipur is a beautiful city, but when you are inside an office like this, it is mostly about the files and the phone calls. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy. Whoever is closest to the door usually looks up when someone walks in. It’s a very practical way to run things. We just do our jobs and go home when the sun starts to set over the city. It’s not a glamorous life but it is our daily reality.
