Rasoi Masala

Out in Village Sijwaha, near the Prathmik Vidyalaya, you’ll find us at Rasoi Masala. We are quite close to the Post Office in Raksha, so we are easy enough to locate if you are in the village. This isn't a high-tech factory or anything like that. It’s a very traditional setup where we process masalas. Being near the primary school means we hear the kids playing during their breaks, which adds a bit of life to the day. The village is quiet, and we like it that way. We spend our time drying spices in the sun when the weather is good and grinding them into powders. It’s a process that takes time and you can’t really rush it if you want it to come out right. My hands are usually stained orange from the turmeric, and I probably smell like a spice rack most of the time. We don't have any fancy packaging with bright colors; we just use plain bags that do the job. We sell mostly to the people living nearby and some small shops in the neighboring villages. It’s the kind of place where people just walk in through the open door and ask if we have any chili powder ready. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just making sure the local kitchens have the spices they need for their daily cooking.
