Rakesh Misthan Bhandar

At Rakesh Misthan Bhandar on Ajmer Road, specifically in Ekata Nagar D- 9 -10, we keep things pretty traditional. The shop is basically built around the big kitchen area where all the frying happens. If you come by in the morning, you will see us working with big heaps of dough and large containers of oil. It gets quite hot near the stoves, especially during the summer months, but that is just part of the job. We make a lot of different sweets, mostly the kind that people in this part of Jaipur have grown up eating. The address is easy to find if you are familiar with the Ekata Nagar area. We do not have any fancy seating or air conditioning that works all that well. Most people just stand around the counter or take their bags of snacks to go. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming here for years, and we usually know what they want before they even ask. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to wait around, or we run out of milk earlier than expected. It is a bit chaotic some days, but we manage to get everything ready for the evening rush. We do not bother with much else besides making the food and keeping the shop running. It is just what we do every day to make a living and serve our neighbors.
