Raj Pustak Mandir

We are over here at No-241, Chaura Rasta. If you know this part of the city, you know it gets pretty crowded and loud with all the people walking by. Raj Pustak Mandir has been sitting in this spot for quite a bit of time now. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside or the inside. We have these tall wooden shelves that are basically overflowing with all sorts of books. Some are new and some have been sitting there gathering a bit of dust because nobody has picked them up in a while. It’s just how things go here. Usually, one of us is sitting near the front counter with a glass of tea, waiting to see who comes through the door. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where we spend our days. Sometimes the light in the back flickers a bit, but we’ve gotten used to it. People come in looking for school books or sometimes just something to read on the train. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles get a little ahead of us. It is a simple life running a book stall on such a busy street. We see the same faces every morning when the tea stall next door opens up. It is just a regular place for regular people. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that hums.
