Rahul Paint

We are located on Madhyam Marg in Mansarovar, which is usually a pretty lively area. Rahul Paint is where we spend most of our waking hours, surrounded by rows of color tins and buckets. It’s a straightforward business; people come in with a specific color in mind, and we help them get it. We have all the basic tools too, like rollers and sandpaper, tucked away on the side shelves. The floor usually has a few drops of dried paint on it, no matter how much we try to keep it clean. It’s just part of the job. Most days involve a lot of lifting and moving heavy containers around. We talk to painters who are working on big houses and also to people just trying to fix a small patch on their wall. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we often sit near the back where it’s cooler. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a local shop trying to keep the right things in stock. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles here. We just open up, do the work, and close the shutters at the end of the day. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but you stop noticing it after a while.
