Radhey Shyam & Co is situated in the New Anaj Mandi area of Chandpole Bazar at B-11. Being in a grain market means there’s always something going on, usually involving a lot of heavy lifting and trucks. We’ve been at this B-11 location for years. The air always smells a bit like dust and grain, which is just part of the job. It’s a busy environment and you have to stay on your toes. We don’t have a fancy office or air conditioning that works all the time. It’s just a basic shop where we get the work done. Most of the people we deal with are other traders or folks who have been coming to the mandi since they were kids. We know most of them by name. It’s a community, really. We just try to keep the books straight and the orders moving. Some days are longer than others, especially during harvest season when the mandi is packed. We don’t really spend money on advertising because everyone around here already knows where B-11 is. It’s just about showing up every day and putting in the hours. The floor is concrete and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We’re just a small part of the big market in Chandpole.
