Rachana Stones

You’ll find Rachana Stones over at G-130 in the Viswakarma Industrial Area Extension, specifically on Badarana Road No. 14. This part of the VKI area is always buzzing with activity and there’s always a truck blocking the way somewhere. We’ve been here for quite some time, dealing with all sorts of stone products. The office is pretty basic because most of the action happens in the back where the cutting and storage areas are. It’s a lot of manual labor, and the guys are always busy with the saws or loading the flatbeds for delivery. We don’t really go in for big marketing speeches. People come to us because they know we are here and we have the stock ready. The road can get pretty congested with all the industrial traffic, so we usually tell people to come early if they want to avoid the worst of the chaos. We spend our days answering the phone, checking the measurements, and making sure the finishing on the stones is up to what was asked. It’s a practical environment. There’s a local tea stall nearby where we often grab a drink and talk about the day’s work with the other shop owners. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the customers get what they ordered without any delays. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we know and we’ve been doing it for a long time. Every day is about getting the slabs out and the new blocks in for the next morning.
