Public Sector Bank

We are right here at 6 Malsisar House in Jaipur, just across from Mayank on Station Road. It gets pretty busy around here because of the station. Most days start early with the staff getting the counters ready before people start coming in. The building has been here for a while and everyone in the area knows where Malsisar House is. It is not a very fancy place, just a regular office where we handle paperwork and talk to folks from the neighborhood. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud but inside we just keep on with the work. We have desks, chairs, and old files tucked away in the back. People come in to sort out their accounts or just ask questions about things they don’t understand. The ceiling fans hum all day long, especially in the summer when Jaipur gets really hot. We try to keep things moving so no one has to wait too long, but sometimes there is a line. It is just the way it goes here. There is a tea stall nearby and usually someone is bringing in a few cups for the mid-morning break. Being on Station Road means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are just passing through and others have lived in this part of Jaipur their whole lives. We just stay focused on the ledgers and the daily tasks that need doing before we close up for the evening. It is a steady kind of life.
