We are out in the Sitapura Industrial Area, specifically at G1-40 in the Riico Area. It’s a big industrial zone, so there are factories and warehouses all around us. We spend our days making mosaic tiles, which is a process that involves a lot of mixing and pressing. The machines are old but they still work well for what we need. It gets very loud in the shed once the production starts, so we have to shout to hear each other. There is always a layer of cement and stone dust on the floor. We load the finished tiles onto trucks that take them all over the city and sometimes further. It’s a tough environment because of the heat and the constant physical work, but we are a steady team. We usually have our lunch together in the small shade outside the main building. We’ve been here since the industrial area was much smaller than it is now. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks professional; we just show people the actual tiles when they come to the gate. It’s a simple operation where we focus on producing as much as we can during the daylight hours. It keeps us busy and we like the feeling of making something solid that people use for their floors.
