Premasharam Foundation

Premasharam Foundation is run directly out of Jagdish Ki Dhani in the Sundariyawas area. We are located at Lala Ram Devanda’s place, which is part of the Durjaniawas region. It is a very rural and quiet spot, far away from the noise and the pollution of the big cities. We do not even have a paved road that leads right to our door, so it can be a bit of a journey to get here, especially when the rains are heavy. We started this foundation because we wanted to do something useful for the families living in these small, scattered settlements. Most of the big charities do not ever make it out this far into the countryside. We are not professionals who wear suits and ties to work. We are just local workers and farmers who decided to put our heads together to solve local problems. Our office is really just a spare room in the house where we keep our files and meet up once the sun goes down. It is not much to look at, but it is where all our work gets planned. We do not have much equipment, just some pens and paper and a lot of determination. We focus on the simple things that can make life a little easier for the people nearby. Sometimes we help with water problems, and other times we talk about how to get the kids into better schools. We are just part of this community.
