Poonam Kirana& General Store

We have been here in Jawahar Nagar for quite a while now. It is just a regular shop where we keep the usual things people need every day. The mornings are usually the busiest because everyone wants their milk and bread before heading off to work or school. We try to keep the shelves stocked, but sometimes things run out faster than expected. Most of the people who come in are neighbors we have known for years. We know their names and what they usually buy. The shop isn't very big, and it can get a bit crowded when more than three people are inside at once. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually sit near the fan and wait for the evening rush. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and we have to stack boxes in the corner until we find time to put everything away. It is not a fancy place, just a simple corner store. We have everything from soap to pulses. If someone asks for something we don't have, we try to get it for them by the next week. It’s just how things go here. We spend most of our day talking to the regulars about the weather or how the local roads are getting blocked again. It is a lot of work keeping track of all the small items, but it keeps us busy and the day passes quickly.
