Picnic Kirana Store

You will find Picnic Kirana Store right in the middle of the busy Johri Bazar area in Jaipur. We are at Shop No-55 on Ghee Walon Ka Rasta, which is directly opposite the LMB Hotel. It’s a very old part of the city, and our shop has that same old-fashioned feel to it. We sell all kinds of groceries, from high-quality spices to sacks of rice and lentils. The street outside is always packed with people and rickshaws, so it can get pretty loud and dusty. Inside, the walls are lined with wooden racks that go all the way to the ceiling. I use a small ladder to reach the things kept on the top shelves. It’s a family-run business, and we’ve been here at this location for a long time. We don't use computers much; most of our work is done with a pen and a notebook. Sometimes we have to move boxes around just to make room for customers to stand. It’s not a fancy supermarket with air conditioning, just a regular kirana shop that serves the local community and the tourists who wander off the main road.
