Parindo Ki Udaan Foundation

Our little setup is over in Pratap Nagar, right near Pannadhaya Circle at house number 76 289. Sanganer is a busy part of town, and there is always something going on near the circle. We chose this spot because it's easy for the local kids and families to reach us without taking a long bus ride. The house is a bit old, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it works for what we do. We mostly sit on the floor or on some plastic chairs we bought last summer. It's nothing special to look at, but it’s home for the foundation. We started this because we saw a lot of potential in the people around here that wasn't being used. We aren't some big NGO with tons of funding. We just pool our own money and time together. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just move our work outside where there’s a bit of a breeze. My brother helps with the accounts when he has time after his real job. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the neighbors to see how things are going. It’s not very formal. You won’t see us wearing suits or giving big presentations. We just drink a lot of chai and talk about how to get things done. If you find yourself walking near the circle, you'll see our door. It’s usually open during the day unless we are all out running errands in the market.
