Paras Kirana & Ganeral Store

Down here in the Pragpura Kotputli Bazar, we run this kirana store. It’s a simple setup in the market area. We’ve got the usual sacks of flour and pulses sitting out. People from the village come in mostly during the market days, but we stay open every day. The shop gets a bit cramped because we try to fit as much stock as possible inside. It’s better to have it and not need it, I think. We don't use much fancy equipment, just an old scale that still works perfectly. The weather here can be quite dry, so there’s always a bit of sand on the floor that needs sweeping. We sell things like oil, spices, and cleaning supplies. My father started this place, and I’ve been helping him since I was a kid. Now I handle most of the daily work. We don't have a big staff, just us and maybe a cousin helping on busy days. It’s a loud place because the bazaar is right outside the door, with tractors and bikes passing by all the time. We don't do home delivery or anything like that; people just stop by when they are in town. It’s honest work and it keeps the family fed. We know the price of everything by heart, so we don't need to look at labels much. If you need something for your kitchen, we probably have it in a jar somewhere on the back shelf.
