Buddharam Stone Industries

Buddharam Stone Industries is located right off NH-11 on Agra Road, near the flyover in Sikandra. We also have another spot over at Plot Number-2 in the Integrated Industrial Estate in Pantnagar, Distt. Udham Singh Nagar. It’s a bit of a spread-out business with two different locations. We work with various types of stones, mostly used for construction and building. Being right near the main highway means there's always a lot of noise from the passing traffic. We get a lot of truckers stopping by to see what we have in the yard. The site in Sikandra is where most of our cutting and shaping happens. You can hear the big saws running from quite a distance away. We’ve got a mix of older machines and some newer ones we picked up a few years back. The crew is a bunch of local guys who really know their way around a heavy stone slab. We don't use much fancy language when we're working. It's mostly just shouting to move something over there or to watch your feet. We have piles of scrap stone in the corner that we sometimes sell for a lower price. The weather in Uttarakhand can be very unpredictable, so we have to cover the finished pieces whenever it starts to rain. It’s a lot of hard physical labor, lifting and bracing the stones throughout the day.
