Om Sai Marble & Granite

We are over at Plot No. 65 on Kalward Road. Om Sai Marble & Granite is basically just a big open plot where we keep all our stock. If you drive down Kalward Road, you’ll see us because of all the white and grey slabs standing up. It’s a dusty place to work, and we spend a lot of time sweeping the floor only for it to get dirty again five minutes later. There isn't much shade here, so the afternoons get pretty hot. We have a small shed where we keep our tools and a desk for the paperwork. It’s not much to look at, but it’s where we do our business. We aren't corporate people with suits; we usually have stone dust on our shoes and shirts. Most of our customers are just local folks building their houses. We talk to them, show them what we have, and help them load up their vehicles. Sometimes the crane breaks down and we have to fix it ourselves, which takes up half the day. It’s just how things go. We like being on Kalward Road because there’s enough space for the big trucks to turn around. We’ve been here at Plot 65 for a few years now. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. The dogs from the street usually hang out near our gate looking for scraps. It's just a normal day for us.
