Kamal Tiles

Kamal Tiles is a small shop at No. 86 Parwatinagarh in Nirman Nagar. It’s right off Ajmer Road. We have piles of tiles everywhere you look. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes. People walk in looking for something to fix their floor or finish a bathroom. We show them the different patterns we have in stock. Sometimes we have to order things in if we run out of a certain style. It’s just a local business. We don't do much fancy talk. My uncle started this place and we just keep it going. The traffic on Ajmer Road is always loud and fast. We have a small desk where we do the bills and take phone calls. Often, we are just sitting there waiting for the next customer to walk through the door. We know most of the neighbors around Parwatinagarh. If someone needs a few extra tiles because they broke one during the work, we try to find a match. It’s not a big corporate chain. We just sell tiles. Sometimes the display stands get a bit wobbly from people touching them. We fix them when we have time. It’s a simple way to make a living. We close up when the sun goes down and head home. There’s always more inventory arriving on Tuesdays. It keeps us on our toes and the shelves stay full.
