If you find yourself near the Ajmer By Pass in Jaipur, you’ll likely see the turn for Shankar Colony. Our office for Nims Uiversity is at 4-C, right there on the New Loah Mandi Road. It’s a dusty part of town, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoon. The building isn't anything too flashy, just a solid place where we handle all the student stuff and paperwork. There’s always a bit of noise from the bypass, trucks mostly, but inside it’s a different world. We’ve got desks pushed together and chairs that have been around for a few years. People come in asking about classes or looking for forms they need to fill out. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is usually the highlight when things get slow. We don't have those fancy automatic doors or anything. Just a regular entrance where the sun hits the floor tiles in the morning. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we end up chatting while the page loads. It’s just how things are at this 4-C Shankar Colony spot. We keep things simple here. There’s no polished lobby with plants, just a few notice boards with old pins and some stacks of paper that need filing. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just talking to parents who stop by after their long drive. It’s a busy corner of Jaipur, that’s for sure.
