Nighthawks Design Studio

Our studio is located over on Chanakya Marg near Subhash Chowk. It is number 1439. We spent a lot of time getting the space to feel right, though it is usually covered in sketches and empty coffee cups. Being a design place, you might think it is all clean and white, but it is actually pretty lived-in. We stay late quite often, hence the name Nighthawks, I suppose. The street outside is always loud with traffic and people going to the market, but inside we just focus on the screens and the drawings. It is a small team here. We do a lot of clicking and dragging all day. Sometimes we argue about colors for an hour then realize we were both wrong. We don't have a big receptionist or a waiting room, just some desks and some old chairs. The light is good in the mornings though. We get a lot of our work done before the sun gets too high and the room heats up. It is just a place where we try to make things look decent for whoever asks us. We use a lot of paper and the printer is always running out of ink at the wrong time. That’s just the daily life here at the studio. Nothing very glamorous about it once you see the piles of drafts we throw away. We just like sitting here and working on our projects.
