Nidhi Kirana & General Store

Our shop, Nidhi Kirana & General Store, sits right at the Swarn Path Chouraha on Madhyam Marg in Mansarovar. It is a busy spot 30/3/1, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. We have been here for a while, selling the usual stuff like rice, pulses, oils, and snacks. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and we use a wooden ladder to reach the top rows. It is not a supermarket where you wander around with a cart; you just tell us what you need and we get it for you. There is always a bit of dust because of the crossroad traffic, so we are constantly wiping down the jars. We deal with local suppliers who bring us fresh stock every few days. Sometimes the store gets crowded and people have to wait on the pavement for their turn. We don't have any fancy displays, just the products stacked where they fit best. You will find all the regular brands of biscuits and shampoos alongside big sacks of loose grains. We know most of the people who live in the nearby blocks. Sometimes they just stop by to ask for change or to check if the new batch of mustard oil has arrived yet. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, just providing the basic things families need every day without any fuss or extra noise.
