Nav Durga Marbles

Nav Durga Marbles is out in Mansarovar Main, specifically near Brahmin Ki Thadi. If you come by, you will see slabs of stone leaning against the walls and a lot of white dust on everything. It is a heavy job. We spend our days moving blocks of marble and granite around the yard. The sound of the cutters is pretty loud, so you have to raise your voice to be heard. We don't have a polished showroom with lights. It is mostly just an open space where the stone sits until someone wants it. The ground is uneven and there are always puddles when we use the water saws to trim the edges. We have a small cabin where we keep the books and take a break from the sun. The area around Brahmin Ki Thadi has grown a lot lately, so there are more houses and shops popping up around us. We are just a local stone yard doing our thing. The workers are used to the heavy lifting and the dust in their hair. We eat our lunch under the shade of a tin roof in the back. It is a rough and tumble kind of place, but that is how it is when you work with marble all day long. We just focus on the stone and making sure it gets loaded onto the trucks without cracking.
