Mr Gupta Ram Baboo

I’ve been working out of this space in Vidhyadhar Nagar for quite some time now. You’ll find me at 5/3 Khandelwal Towers. It’s a decent spot, not too far from the main road but quiet enough to get things done. Most mornings start the same way, unlocking the door and getting the fan going because the Jaipur heat doesn’t wait for anyone. The office isn’t much to look at, just a desk, some chairs for people to sit on, and more files than I care to admit. Mr Gupta Ram Baboo is the name on the door, but it’s really just a place where work happens day in and day out. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so I end up taking the stairs, which keeps me moving. People from around the neighborhood stop by, sometimes for work and sometimes just to say hello while they’re out running errands. I don’t go for any of those fancy decorations or modern setups you see in the new parts of the city. I prefer things the way they are, simple and functional. There’s a tea stall not too far away that brings over a cup when the afternoon slump hits. It’s just a regular life here, dealing with paperwork and making sure everything is in order. You won’t find anything flashy here, just a small office where we try to keep up with the daily grind of life in Vidhyadhar Nagar.
