You can find Usha Fire Service over at No. 37/185 on Rajat Path. We are located in the Mansarovar area, which is a fairly well-known part of the city. The shop is right on Rajat Path, so it’s easy to see when you are driving or walking by. We deal with fire equipment like extinguishers, safety gear, and different types of fittings. The shop is filled with red canisters and rolls of heavy hose. It’s a very specific kind of environment to work in. I spend a lot of time checking the pressure gauges and making sure everything is filled and ready to go. Mansarovar is a busy place, but Rajat Path has a bit of its own steady pace. There are other small shops nearby, so we usually see the same group of shopkeepers every day when we open up. We aren't a big corporation; it’s just a few of us here making sure the equipment is ready for use in case someone needs it. Sometimes we have to go out to local offices to check their safety setups, but most of the heavy work happens right here in the shop. The walls are plain and we have some old metal shelves that hold all the spare parts and valves. It’s a bit cramped when we get a large shipment in, but we always make it work. We’ve been doing this for several years now.
