Craft India

You can find Craft India over at 661 in Ram Nagar, which is part of the Shastri Nagar area. It’s a neighborhood where everyone knows each other. Our space is usually filled with materials and half-finished projects. It’s not the neatest place, but that’s because we’re always right in the middle of working on something. We started small and we’ve stayed in this area because it feels like home. The streets can be narrow, so parking is sometimes a bit of a trick. Most of our neighbors are other small businesses or families who have lived here for generations. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just answer the phone and talk to people who need things made. Some days are hectic with deadlines, and other days we have time to sit and have an extra cup of chai. We use simple tools and traditional methods for a lot of what we do. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We aren't interested in being a giant company. We just like making things in Ram Nagar. If you walk past, you’ll probably hear the sounds of work coming from inside. It’s a busy little spot and we plan to stay here at number 661 for a long time to come. We don't need much more than our tools and a bit of space to work.
