Our company, Shri Prempuriji Grani Marbo, sits right in the Riico Industrial Area in Mansarovar at plots G-185 and 186. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks coming in and out all day. We work with granite and marble, mostly slabs and tiles that people need for their houses or bigger projects. The machines are pretty loud, so you can usually hear us before you see us. We’ve been operating out of this industrial area for several years now. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit for a nice walk, but if you need stone, it’s where we are. We have a small crew of guys who know how to cut and move the heavy stuff. We don't have a fancy website or anyone doing big sales pitches. Most of our business comes from people just knowing we are here in Mansarovar. We spend a lot of time checking the slabs for cracks or weird spots. Every piece of stone is different, which keeps it interesting. Sometimes the power goes out in the industrial area and we have to wait around, but mostly we are cutting away. We keep the paperwork simple and focus on the yard. It’s a lot of hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it’s what we know how to do. We just stay at it and try to keep the orders moving out the gate. That's really all there is to it.
