Sharda Enterprises

Sharda Enterprises is located at Shop No. 65 in the New Aatish Market over in the Mansarovar area. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it can get pretty loud and crowded, especially on the weekends when everyone is out. Our shop is just one of many in the long row, but we’ve been here long enough that the other shopkeepers are like neighbors to us. We sell various items, and our stock changes quite a bit depending on what we can get and what people in the area are asking for lately. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high up on the walls to make use of all the space we have. I’m often climbing a shaky ladder to reach something on the top shelf for a customer. It’s a bit dusty in the market with all the construction and the vehicles moving nearby, so cleaning the shelves is a never-ending job for us. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. We just put the items out where people can see them and touch them. Most of our customers are locals from around Mansarovar or contractors working on small jobs in the area. We have a small wooden stool for people to sit on if they have to wait for something, but usually, it’s just standing and chatting at the main counter. It’s a simple life, opening the metal shutters in the morning and closing them up at night. We don't do much advertising; we just rely on people seeing our sign when they walk through the market.
