Manglam Interiors

Manglam Interiors is tucked away in Tilak Nagar at A 68 Vijay Path. If you come by, you will likely find the place covered in a thin layer of sawdust and the smell of wood glue hanging heavy in the air. We are always in the middle of some project, whether it is cutting plywood for a new cupboard or looking over some sketches someone brought in on a piece of scrap paper. The workshop is a bit cluttered with samples of laminates, different types of handles, and half-finished frames leaning against the walls. We don't have a fancy showroom with polished floors; we would rather spend our time actually making things than trying to look impressive. Sometimes we are out at a site all day, measuring walls and making sure the floors are level, so the shop stays closed for a few hours. It is hard work that makes your back ache by the end of the shift, but there is something good about seeing a pile of raw wood turn into something someone can actually use in their house. We use old tools that have been with us for years because we know exactly how they feel in the hand. It is just a small team of us here, doing our best to get the joints tight and the finish smooth enough so that nobody gets a splinter when they touch it.
