Mamta Marble

Mamta Marble is based at number 92 in Lajpath Nagar, which is part of the Jagatpura area. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood since we first started, but our shop has stayed pretty much the same. The place is mostly a big storage area filled with marble slabs of all different sizes. We have a small corner with a desk where we do our billing and talk to customers. It’s often quite cramped because we like to keep as much stock as we can on hand. We don't have a reception area or any fancy displays. If you come by, you’ll just see us working among the stones. Lajpath Nagar can be a bit crowded, especially when we have big delivery trucks trying to navigate the streets to get to us. We spend most of our time measuring marble and making sure the pieces are cut exactly right. It isn't an easy job and it’s definitely not a clean one, but it’s what we do. We’ve managed to keep our spot at number 92 for a long time while other businesses around Jagatpura have moved on. We don't bother with websites or social media. Most of our customers are locals or people who heard about us from a neighbor. We just try to be straightforward about what we have and get the orders out on time. It’s a simple way to run a shop and it suits us fine.
