Maheshwary Jewellers

Maheshwary Jewellers is right at the corner of New Ramgarh Mode on Amer Road. If you know that area, you’ve probably passed us plenty of times. The shop isn’t huge, but we keep the display cases bright so people can see what’s inside when they walk by. We spend a lot of time sitting behind the counter. Some days it’s quiet, just us polishing the silver or checking the stones. Other days, a whole family comes in because they’ve got a wedding coming up and they need to pick out something special. We’ve seen kids grow up and then come back to buy their own rings years later. It’s nice to have that connection with the neighborhood. The traffic on Amer Road can be a bit much sometimes, but we’re used to the noise by now. We deal with gold and silver mostly. If someone has a broken chain or a loose stone, they bring it in and we see if we can fix it right there. We don't use a lot of fancy computers or anything like that. It’s mostly just scales, magnifying glasses, and a lot of patience. My hands are always busy with something small. It’s a steady kind of life here at the shop. We just open up in the morning, clean the glass, and wait to see who comes through the door today. It feels like home after all these years.
