Mahalaxmi Stone

We are located at Plot No.H-161 in Shahpura, which is right near the Riico Industrial Area. It’s a good spot because there are always people moving around and looking for materials for their projects. Working with stone is a dirty job and our clothes are usually covered in white dust by noon. We’ve got a small crew here and everyone knows their role, whether it’s operating the cutters or helping someone load a truck. The yard is a bit disorganized if I’m being honest, but we know where the different types of stone are tucked away. Sometimes we get a shipment that isn't quite what we expected, and we have to spend the morning sorting through it. The wind in Shahpura can get quite strong, blowing the dust everywhere, so we keep the office door shut tight most of the time. We don't do much advertising; mostly it’s just people hearing about us from their neighbors or contractors. There is a small tea shop nearby where we go for breaks, and that is usually where we hear the local news. We try to be fair with people and just do what we say we are going to do. It’s not a fancy operation by any means, but it keeps us busy and the work is consistent enough to keep the lights on and the machines running every day.
