About Mahalaxmi Granite – Building & Construction Material in Jaipur
The yard is located right at 2 Gopalpura Bypass, specifically in the Shakti Nagar area near Triveni Chouraha. It’s a very noisy spot because of all the vehicles rushing past on the bypass. We have big slabs of granite leaning against the walls and stacked in rows throughout the space. There is usually a fine layer of stone dust on everything, which is just part of the job when you deal with heavy rock all day. You can hear the sounds of the cranes and the occasional cutting machine from quite a distance. We spend a lot of time outdoors in the heat, moving these heavy pieces around so people can see the patterns in the stone. Triveni Chouraha is a landmark that everyone around here knows, so it makes it easy to give directions. The granite comes in all sorts of colors and weights, and we’re constantly shifting things to make room for new arrivals. It’s a physical business that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We don’t bother with a lot of decorations because the granite itself takes up all the room. Working near the bypass means there’s always movement and dust, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or locals who are looking for something solid for their kitchens or floors. It’s honest, hard work under the sun and we just get on with it.
