Lic

I've been working at this Lic office for a while now. It’s located right on Ghora Nikas Road, over in the Ramganj Choper area of Jaipur. If you know this part of the city, you know it stays pretty lively. Most days start with opening the shutters and letting some air in before the Jaipur heat really kicks in. We have a lot of old files around here. People come in with their policy documents or just to ask about a payment they missed. There isn't anything fancy about the place. It's just a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of paperwork. We spend a lot of time checking numbers and making sure names are spelled right on the forms. Sometimes the tea guy from down the street brings over a few cups, and that's usually the highlight of the afternoon. It gets dusty because of the road outside, so we are always wiping down the tables. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking. We just help people with their insurance stuff and try to keep things organized. You might see us standing outside for a bit of a break when the sun goes down and it cools off. It’s a local spot. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to say hello or ask for directions. That’s just how it is here in Ramganj. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that, just a door on the street and a sign.
