Jhotwara Industrial Area 24 is where you can find us. It’s a busy spot, especially around the corner where the main road gets choked up with lorries. We deal with aggregates and concrete all day long. It’s heavy work. The piles of stone and sand sit out there in the heat, and we spend most of our time moving things from one place to another. We don't have much of a lobby or anything like that. Just the scales and the yard. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, and the dust is constant. You learn to live with it after a week or two. We just handle the loads and keep the logs updated. Some of the guys have been here since the start. We drink a lot of water and try to keep the equipment running. It's not a glamorous setup, but it’s a job. Most of the time it’s just the sound of engines and the crunch of gravel under boots. Sometimes we have to wait on deliveries for hours, which is just how things go in Jhotwara. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. It's mostly just handshakes and getting the trucks loaded up. That’s pretty much the whole story. Just a group of people working with stones and cement under the sun at Plot 24. It stays busy enough for us. We keep our heads down and get through the list of pickups.
