Kumawat Kirana Store

Kumawat Kirana Store is our small shop out in Mokhampura, right by the Ajmer Road near the Jaipur G P O. We sell the usual things people need every day like flour, pulses, soaps, and biscuits. It is a small place, so we know most of the families who live around here. They come in for their daily milk or some sugar for tea. It is not a big supermarket, just a local kirana store where things are kept in jars and sacks. My father started this many years ago and I just kept it going. We spend a lot of our time weighing things out and chatting with the neighbors who stop by. Sometimes the kids come in for a single piece of candy. It gets busy in the mornings and then again in the evening when people are getting home from work. During the afternoon heat, things usually slow down and we might take a quick nap behind the counter. We do not have fancy shelves or bright lights, just the basic stuff that works for us. The location on Ajmer Road means we get some travelers stopping for snacks or water too. We try to keep everything in stock so nobody has to go all the way into the city for small items. It is a simple life running a grocery shop in this area. We just open up early and close late. Usually, we are here by 7 am every single day.
