Krishna Marbles & Tiles

At Krishna Marbles & Tiles, things stay pretty busy because of where we are located. We are right by Takia Choki, near the petrol pump on Kalwar Road. If you know Surjeet Nagar, you know how much traffic passes by this way every single day. People are always stopping for fuel and then they see our shop. We have stacks of tiles and marble slabs everywhere. It can be a bit cramped sometimes when we get a new shipment in. We spend a lot of time helping people pick out something that looks good for their kitchen or bathroom. It’s funny how people can spend hours looking at two different shades of white. We don't mind, though. It’s part of the job. The dust from the road sometimes settles on the polished surfaces, so we are often out there with a cloth. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Jaipur or anything. We just want to provide what people in Surjeet Nagar need. Most of our customers are our neighbors or folks living just a few blocks away. We hear the honking of the horns all day long, but you get used to it after a while. When the sun goes down and the traffic thins out, we finally get a bit of peace to tidy up for the next morning. It is hard work but seeing a finished house makes it all worth it.
