Kishore Brothers

If you walk through Sindhi Colony in Bani Park, you will find Kishore Brothers. We are at Shop No- 6 and 7. It’s basically two small units we use together to keep our supplies and serve the people around here. We’ve been in this part of Jaipur for many years now. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened, but we are still here doing the same thing every day. It is a simple setup with rows of items that families need for their kitchens and houses. We aren't trying to be one of those huge malls. We prefer the way things are, where we can talk to the people who buy from us. Sometimes the kids from the colony come in for sweets after school and we know all their names. It gets a bit hot in the summer months but we have the overhead fans to keep the air moving. My brother and I manage everything from the accounts to lifting the heavy bags. We don't have a big staff, just us and maybe a helper sometimes. The 302016 area is home to us and we feel like the shop is part of the street’s history. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not always easy but it is what we know. We stay open until the street goes quiet at night and then we head home to rest before starting again.
