Khushi Properties

We are based over at Mansarovar Scon Road, specifically at Kiran Vihar 23. This part of Jaipur is much quieter than the old city, which I personally like. Khushi Properties here is mostly about helping people find a decent plot of land or a house in the newer colonies. The office is actually part of a residential area, so it feels very much like a home. I sit at a wooden desk most of the day, waiting for folks to drop by. We have some tea, talk about the prices of cement or how the new roads are coming along, and then we might go look at some sites. It is not a high-pressure environment at all. We know most of the families around Kiran Vihar. I don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe the houses. If a place has a good roof and a solid wall, that’s what I tell them. Most of my work is just knowing who wants to sell and who is looking to buy. It’s about being a neighbor as much as anything else. The afternoon sun hits the front porch of number 23, so we usually sit in the back where it’s cooler. We don’t do big billboards or radio ads. Most of our clients come from word of mouth, someone telling their cousin that we helped them out. It’s a slow and steady way to do things and it suits us just fine.
