You can find Jai Govind Stud & Agriculture Farm over at C-49 Hanuman Nagar in Khatipura. It’s a bit of an interesting mix having horses and crops right here. The neighborhood has grown up around us over the years, but we’ve stayed put. Most mornings start with the sound of the horses and the smell of hay. It’s a lot of physical work, cleaning out stalls and making sure the animals are fed and happy. Then there’s the agriculture side of things, which keeps us busy in the dirt for the rest of the day. We don't have a big staff or any corporate offices. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers who have been around forever. My boots are usually covered in mud or worse, and there’s always a fence post that needs a new nail or a gate that’s sagging. We don’t spend time on fancy brochures. If you want to know what we’re doing, you just have to look at the animals or the fields. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and the ground gets too hard to work, or the horses get restless. It’s just how it is. We take the good days with the bad ones and keep moving. It’s a busy life, and there’s never really a day off when you have animals to look after, but we’re used to it. The routine keeps us going and the animals don't care about holidays anyway.
