Our office is tucked away in 108, Vijay Laxmi Tower, which is right in the B-3 section of the Central Spine in Vidhyadhar Nagar. If you know the area, it is pretty easy to find once you get inside the tower. It’s mostly desk work here, handling all the logistics and the paperwork that comes with moving stone around. We aren't out in a big open field like some other places, but we stay busy enough coordinating everything from this room. The building stays quite cool, which is a relief when the weather gets really hot outside in Vidhyadhar Nagar. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at inventory lists on the computer. Sometimes people think stone import and export is exciting, but mostly it is just making sure the trucks are where they should be and the numbers add up. We’ve been at this for a while and the routine doesn't change much. We have files piled up on the desks and the tea kettle is usually running. It is a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, whether it is answering the door or filing invoices. We don’t bother with big signs or flashy stuff because most of the people we deal with already know where we are. It is just a regular office doing regular work day in and day out, making sure everything is handled.
