Kanika Creations

Kanika Creations is located at E-5 Gokhle Marg in the C Scheme area. It’s a pretty well-known part of the city, and we’ve been here long enough that we feel like a fixture of the neighborhood. The shop is on a street that gets a fair amount of traffic, but it’s not as crazy as the main markets. We focus on our creations, mostly clothing and fabric work. The space at E-5 is where everything happens. We have cutting tables and sewing machines and a small area where people can look at the finished pieces. It’s not a polished showroom. It looks like a place where work actually gets done. There are scraps of fabric on the floor and rolls of material leaning against the walls. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just make things. Some days are slow and we spend them tidying up or planning for the next week. Other days, we are rushing to finish things on time. C Scheme is a nice place to be based because it's central. We see all sorts of people walking by Gokhle Marg. We just try to stay focused on the tasks at hand. Kanika Creations isn't a big corporation. It's just us at our workshop, trying to make a living and doing work that we know how to do well.
