Kanchan Kirana Store

I spend my days at Kanchan Kirana Store, which is our family shop in Sanganer. We are located at Plot No -529 C along Kumma Marg in Sector 8. A lot of people find us by looking for the Shree Hari Shamshan Ghat, as we are quite near that spot. It’s a busy little corner of the world. The shop is usually full of the smell of open bags of grain and washing soap. We have a lot of regulars who live around Sector 8 and they stop in for their milk or tea leaves every single morning. The shelves are a bit crowded and I sometimes have trouble finding the exact brand of biscuits someone wants, but we usually figure it out. Sanganer can be very dusty, so I have to keep a rag handy to wipe down the counters every few hours. We don't have any of those fancy scanners or anything, just a simple scale and a calculator that has seen better days. The bell on the door doesn't always ring right, so I have to keep an eye out for when people walk in. Being on Kumma Marg means we see all the local traffic and the kids playing in the street. It’s not a big corporate store, just a place where we try to keep the locals supplied with what they need for their kitchens.
