K. D. Computer

You can find K. D. Computer on the second floor of Raisar Plaza. We are in shop F 91- A. If you know Indra Bazar in Jaipur, you know it’s always packed. Raisar Plaza is even busier. There are computer shops everywhere here. Our place is small and usually has boxes piled up in the corners. We’ve been here a long time. We fix things and sell parts. It’s mostly hardware stuff. The air conditioning in the mall sometimes struggles in the summer, so we have a small fan on the counter. It’s a bit of a climb to the second floor if the lift is busy, which it usually is. We spend our days opening up laptops and looking at motherboards. It’s dusty work. We have regulars who come in just to chat or ask for advice on what to buy. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workshop feel. Tools are scattered around, and there’s always something being tested on a monitor. We eat our lunch at the back when we find a spare minute. Jaipur gets hot, so the mall is a decent place to be during the afternoon. We see a lot of people passing by every day. It’s a loud, lively place to work. We keep the shop open late because that's when most people finish their own work and come by. It's a bit exhausting but that's just how the market works here.
